The phone-bill discount trap
A caller claims to be your mobile provider and offers a discount or new phone. The Rogers “40% off” example is one version of this story.
What they want
Account codes or information, or a new device sent to a fraudulent return address.
YOUR NEXT MOVE
Check through another route.
Call your provider using your bill or its official app. Verify the exact offer, order and any return label. Do not sign in while an unexpected caller guides you.
